The Spider (Tamil: Silandhi) in my garden has been weaving its web by spitting out the saliva from its mouth tirelessly. I seemed to wonder at the amount of tireless effort and dedication it does to weave its web without a care to the elements surrounding it. Suddenly there was a thunderous downpour of torrential rain and a gusty wind. This destroyed the web. But once again it does it duty unflinchingly to create another (as said in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita - Karmanye Vadikarasthe....). When its web is destroyed it just sucks it inside (just like drawing inward into its Self from the material world) and out it comes again to do the job (into the material world) with matchless perfection. Just to think how a small spider is able to do this shows the power of the macrocosm and brings us closer to God !!! Radhe Radhe ~ Anand
