Everyday so many thoughts come to us in the morning and at night when we go to sleep all these thoughts and even our existence is a layam. Next day morning when we wake up all the thoughts are restored back to us. Daily there is a pralayam happening within us. if we start to think about this then we have understood the antariyaamiya paramatma within us. HE is within us. Where were the so many crores of thoughts disappear (layam) and from where again these crores of thoughts appear from. This is a pralayam...daily pralayam. In this pralayam, the jagath is available only if we open the eyes, isnt it. when we sleep there isnt. But there is ONE for whom the jagath is always present. Mahapralayam is when the saksath parameshwaram himself closes HIS eyes, then there is no other with eyes open for whom the prapancha anubhavam will be there. All the prapancha bhavams keeping inside HIM, paramatma is taking rest which is called the yoga nidrAI. Samastha jeevanam at at the same time keeping it unto HIMSELF, making the prapancham as prakriti which is HIS sakthi, keeping that unto HIMSELF, HE ALONE keeps remaining, that paramatma is in his own experiences keeping the prapancha leelas aside, but prapancha leelai is another experience for HIM. This kind of Nidra is yoga nidrA. Right from childhood, this has to be understood, ignorant people should understand this and say this is what is the significance of the way perumal, in many of the temples as well as AnanthaPadmanabhaswamy Temple, Trivandrum is in the form of paLLikoNda on AdisEsha. Sleeping on the serpent adishEsha.
